Help 😫 how often does your newborn cry?

My little one is a week and 2 days old today.. And up until yesterday she's been an angel. But last night she started wailing and crying, nothing we could do would stop her. Same goes for today.. She'll stop and eat and suck on her passy- then she's back to being fussy and crying. Is this normal and to be expected with a newborn? How much does your little one cry?

You should be trying to feed her EVERY TIME she cries. Especially if your milk hasn't come in yet. Even if it has come in, she needs super frequent feedings. When she's taking the paci, she should be getting boob, even if she just wants to use your nip as a pacifier, it will help boost your milk supply to what she needs. If you can, hold off on the paci for a while until she has her latch down pat.
If you're formula feeding, she should still be feeding on demand. Any time she cries, sucks on her hand, pecks around on your chest with her mouth open, or whatever else she may do, feed her.

My little one is about the same age & I noticed yesterday she was crying a lot and I realized she wanted to eat literally every 30 minutes to an hour. Normally she eats every 3 hours or so. I realized she's going through a growth spurt and it's totally normal. Knowing this makes me so happy to continue feeding her even though I may be tired or sore. I want my baby girl to grow!

Yea we have a white noise player
..it does that womb sound and a heartbeat sound..its awesome. My lo is good but while in the  hospital he had a booger that was bothering him so he screamed and cried..we or the nurse couldn't get it out

Get a white noise app or album and give that a go. Turn the volume up, it settles my little guy really quickly.

My son is 9days old and so far we have had 2nights of crying where he couldnt be soothed..it sucks.. I feel so terrible..

My first son had reflux from the beginning and the doctor made him a wedge with stamps to sleep in so he was sitting upward while sleeping. It was really rough especially nursing I had to prop him up A lot!!

You may be one of the lucky people like myself with a baby with colic. There are many theories as to what causes it, but there isn't much you can do other then address your baby's needs (hunger, gas, reflux etc). If they are fed, dry, and you have ruled out medical issues then all I say is remember that it gets better. My baby has reflux and colic. If you notice that the fussiness gets worse in the evening and nothing really works to calm them down, try to get someone to help you through. It's ok to walk away for a few minutes and try to get someone to watch baby so you can nap here and there. Should get better by 3 months. Good luck.

Make sure you burp her after feelings. If she has air in her tummy it hurts
