How did you tell your family?!

Hi this is my 1st baby! I am currently 4wks 4days. I was wondering when did you guys tell you immediate family?! I am 22 and nervous to tell my parents especially. I just want them to be excited and happy like i am! When my brother told them about my nephew they were upset and said he ruined his life....Now they love my 2 year old nephew and we all can't imagine life without him! i just need advice on when to say it and what to say. I know my fiance's family will b supportive i just want my family's support too.

Well there is no chance my family will say I ruined my life for what it's worth. I have been married for 8 years. I think they are wondering what the hell?

However, we aren't telling until 30 weeks. We live on the opposite side of the country. Some are flying out to visit then so we thought the bump would be the best surprise. The rest will get a baby announcement when baby arrives for its photo opportunity.

I waited and showed them my fist ultrasound picture, so I guess like 9 weeks or so.

I was terrified to tell my family I didn't say a word til I was about 14 weeks or so only my sisters and best friend knew I was pregnant. They were all extremely shocked but happy about this new little life. I would just have a conversation tell them you need their support and what not then just say it.

With my first I waited until 12 weeks and knew everything was fine (apart from my brother and best friend as we were going to Amsterdam so they needed to know)
With this one we wanted to tell everyone at 12 weeks again but had to tell everyone at 5 weeks due to bleeding.

I am 22 years old and currently 33w pregnant. I was afraid of how my family would react as well. I waited till I was 12w to tell my immediate family (I was afraid of having a miscarriage). I made a picture frame and put the ultra sound picture in it. Then on each side had due July 2016. Then wrapped it up and they opened it. They were happy and have been very supportive. Best of luck to you! Remember even if they are upset at first, they will come around!
