Spotting during intercourse?

After my husband and I had intercourse yesterday, we noticed a little bit of blood on the condom. After I went to the restroom, I realized it was some light spotting. I'm due for my period in 1 week. I've never had spotting before in my life, and my periods are regular so I was a little concerned. We've been wearing conforms diligently. Is this normal, or should I be concerned?
