Baby already sitting "very low"

I had an elective ultrasound to get some 4d pictures of my baby girl lay week. I'm 30 weeks this Friday. The ultrasound tech told us that baby is head down and sitting "very low" even joked that maybe I shouldn't be walking as much. I have had a feeling this baby was gonna come earlier than her due date of August 12th even though she is my first... In anyone's experience has this happened and it was true?
