Is there anything that justifies physically attacking a pregnant woman?

My brother attacked me multiple times today because I borrowed his shirt because his cat peed on mine and I was running late to my appointment. He also went into my room and ripped both mine and my daughters dresser drawers out and hucked them on the floor. After the attacks I experienced bleeding and severe cramping. He continues to threaten me, what should I do? He clearly has mental issues going on right now

You're seriously debating this? He put you and your child in DANGER. Hospital, police, press charges/restraining order. I don't see how this can even be considered acceptable.

Like the other post said you need to go to the hospital then press chargers. You should never put hands on a pregnant women or a someone in general unless it's self defense.

Go to the hospital, ASAP! I'd also call the cops, if he'd flip out like that over a t-shirt of all things, who knows what else would make him mad. I personally wouldn't risk it.

Why are you posting on here and not acting to protect your family? Like all these other posts say, go to the hospital, with your daughter too, and call the cops. Tell the hospital what happened. Don't be a statistic, at least for your children's sake

Sorry but what kind of question is that?? Do you honestly think there might be someone on this forum that thinks there may be a good reason to beating up a pregnant woman? If you want sympathy you have gotten it. If your brother is mentally ill you need to get him some help and not just say "he's mentally ill" and allow him to behave a certain way. It may not be his fault he's sick but that doesn't mean you allow someone to harm you and your unborn baby over a t shirt...or over anything for that matter. Call the cops and make sure he gets the help he needs. And don't be around him alone.

Not right. I don't know how old you are or your situation but I would move out of kick him out if you're able to do either. If you can't you can always tell someone who will put him in his place and let him know it's not ok to do that to you especially while pregnant.

Call the police: that behaviour is not justified for anyone. You should get yourself seen by a doctor if you have had bleeding and cramping after an assult
