Trying to conceive after IUD

Hello I got my IUD out Friday the 21st and I spotted until lat that night, now I think it's my period (seeing as I'm due for it shortly) how long do I have to wait to have sex after the IUD being out? And is it safe to try immediately or wait until I have another period .. Also anyone who has had IUDs how long did you bleed for (curious in case this isn't my period)
