Most comfortable place to breastfeed?

I'm a FTM and was wondering if any mom veterans could help me out by letting me know if those big comfy chairs I see in nursery pics or those glider rockers are things that really make it easier or more comfortable to breastfeed. I currently don't have a special chair for baby holding and breastfeeding yet, should I get one? Will it make a huge difference?

We are currently living with my husbands parents in their upstairs attic room and it's the only place I get any privacy. We don't have any comfy place to sit in here. I guess I will probably end up nursing on the bed a lot.

I liked sitting on the sofa with a boppy to feed when my son was little... once he hit 6 months (and he was too big for the boppy) I used the glider.

With My first I just sat on my couch more so than my glider. With my second I had a glider and a boppy that I used a lot! Especially when she wasn't a new born. When she was a newborn I used the bed and the boppy more than anything.

I love my parents gliding rocker for breastfeeding!!! I'd take it home if I had the room but hubby's throne takes precedence lol.

Ok my first baby I could do it anywhere. My second baby- a few min after he would latch I would fall asleep instantly. It was super weird. I could be mid sentence and literally was just completely out. SO, I NEVER fed in any type of chair where he could fall if I fell asleep. We were always in bed or on the couch. I had a glider with both pregnancies and never used them at all. I would love to have one of those big arm chairs that are for 1 1/2 people with foot rests. They are super comfy.

My mom and I found a really awesome gliding chair at a garage sale before my first was born. I can't say I used it all that often. Honestly, especially in the house, I nursed wherever I wanted to. If it was supper and lo was hungry, I fed him there, in the couch watching Tv, I whipped it out. Exhasted in bed, brought that baby in and side nursed.

The chair was great when I was getting started with it and wasn't really comfortable with what exactly I needed to do but my lo got more confident and comfortable when I was comfortable. You don't really need a chair, but if you have your hear set on it, honestly a nice wooden rocker is what I would want. Nice and smooth, the glider can stick on occasion.

I use our recliner but wherever you normally sit comfortably is fine and gunna work. At night it's in bed on my side.
