Diclegis?

I saw my OB for my first appt yesterday and I told her that my morning sickness was pretty rough and consistent (though not actually vomiting).  She automatically prescribed me Diclegis and said it was perfectly safe. I thought this was supposed to be taken only when women were so sick they couldn't keep things down. Curious to know other people's thoughts on how bad things should be before taking this and also what you may have heard about the safety of this drug.

I took it with my first pregnancy & it was the only thing that helped my nausea. I was still well hydrated & not voniting, but the nausea was debilitating and sooo uncomfortable. All diclegis is, is equal parts vitamin B6 & unisom (the sleep medication).

I'm on this after going to the hospital for dehydration. I couldn't keep anything down. So I took promethegan first and then the diclegis pills. I've stopped barfing constantly but still get a little nauseous.

I started it this week as well and it has helped to take the edge off, though not the miracle cure I was wishing for. 😐

The longer I'm on it and the more consistent I am with the times I'm taking it, the better it works for me. Ive been on it for 2 weeks and it has made life easier. I was having all day nausea and it was hard to do anything. I still get nausea every now and then but nothing like I was getting. Take it the same time everyday and dont miss a dose and it should work well for you. I also researched pretty extensively and felt very comfortable taking it.

My OB prescribed me the generic version of this (b6 and unisom) but I haven't even had morning sickness yet and I'm almost 10 weeks. I took it one time and almost fell asleep driving the next day. I haven't taken it since because I have no sickness.

I just started this two days ago and it's a life saver. I was sick all day with episodes of vomiting. It has really helped. It's expensive be SO worth it!

Must be the same as Diclegis. My doc put me on it because I would get so sick at work. Not throwing up but to the point where I couldn't stand up because I felt like I was going to throw up everywhere or pass out. It has worked miracles. I know a lot of women who were put on this so I would think it's safe.

I took it during the first two trimesters of my first pregnancy. Even with taking it, I lost 5 lbs my first trimester from being so sick. Can't imagine how malnurished I would have been without it!
