I'm I a bad person?

Over the past 10 years I've noticed more people 'coming out' but they were never gay before. I'm talking friends I've known forever, never talking about anything to do with the same sex, but now because their boyfriend broke up with them they've 'given up on men' becuase 'it's just easier to date a woman.' My cousin as Been a lesbian for 25 year. 25 Years, but last year she did a Facebook status about how she's dating this guy. We all asked her why and she said too many people are gay now and it's just annoying. Wtf kind of answer is that. If she was really gay she would just be gay. 25 years is a long to not date men. I just don't get it. 

Again, yes, I do think because it is now socially acceptable there are people who have been gay all their lives coming out now because it's finally okay, however, why do people feel like you HAVE to be born gay? People can choose to be gay if they want to. Again, I'm not saying it's bad. I like gay people! They are fucking awesome, I don't think they all are born that way though. I think that phrase is a bit overused. You can be gay because you like the same sex. I don't see anything wrong with it, but why do people have to be born that way in order for it to be acceptable? Their is nothing wrong with people choosing who they like. We make choices everyday, and as long as you're happy it's fine. Both Christians AND atheist hate me for saying this, but I don't understand why what I'm saying is bad. Again, yes I think some people were born gays, i also think because it's more acceptable now, it's becoming a bandwagon and everyone wants to tag along for the ride.
