When to tell friends and family?

I've scheduled an early reassurance scan for 8 weeks...if everything is good do you think I should tell friends and family then or wait until 12+ weeks? It's my first so it's all completely new to me. But I'm currently 5 weeks and have already gone up a cup size so hiding it until 12 weeks will be tough!

My last pregnancy I told everyone right away and we ended up loosing the baby at 6 weeks. I wouldn't have changed a thing. We were able to celebrate our precious baby's short life. Plus I had emotional, spiritual, and physical support from family and very close friends during our time of loss. I just found out I'm 4w 2d pregnant and we're going to tell family when we see them next week! :) that is just my opinion and it was what was right for my family, which doesn't nessicarily mean it's what's right for everyone else's family!

I did the very same as Liz. Baby is a baby no matter how small and I wanted our families to rejoice in the happiness! Life is too short to not celebrate!!!! Congrats!

I told my family when I found out which was about  3 weeks 5 days I got a positive early and I told my work since I work as A CNA I told my charge nurses and then everyone knew. I had a missed miscarriage and dint find out until I was 11 weeks 5 days I had two ultrasounds before that and they were fine. This time I told my parents and one close co-worker )she ended up telling everyone) but I'm still afraid I might miscarry again. So before I tell anyone else I'm waiting until I'm passed the 12 week mark!

I don't think we can wait until 12 weeks. Im going to tell my parents when I'm 6 weeks and his around 7. Around 8 we will tell friends and then do a cute facebook announcement after 12.

Our plan is to tell my family when we are all together on vacation in a couple weeks (I'll be 8 weeks). They know we've been trying and if it comes up at all I just know I won't be able to hide it. Then we're telling my husbands family on the 4th of July when I'm 9 weeks, and my son will help tell them! I'm more more excited about telling my son than anybody else, it has been sooo hard keeping this from him. Then we'll post to social media at 13 weeks.

I'm 4w 5d & I told immediate family already...  It's my first & I'm just too excited!! The hubby wanted me to wait, but as soon as I seen them I couldn't help myself lol..
