Zantac during pregnancy?

I'm 20 weeks, and I've been having the worst heartburn constantly! It never stops. I have been using tums and it helps temporarily but it comes back within a half hour. I called my OB but she didn't answer, so I just left a message. Does anyone else take zantac? I keep reading conflicting opinions!

My doctor gave me a prescription for zantac. But you should wait to hear from your doctor as everyone is different.

I was prescribed zantac. I take one in the morning and one at night and my heartburn is like nonexistent. I also had acid reflux pretty bad prior to being pregnant but it works great

I took Zantac with my first for about a month before it stopped working. I take Prilosec now.

My doctor told me it's fine to take twice a day and that I can also eat tums with it if need be. I take one in the morning, one at night and don't ever get heartburn anymore.
