Anyone else nervous/anxious for their first appointment?

First of all, congrats everyone!

We found out I'm pregnant on Sunday, and we are thrilled! I'm 4 + 3, and my first appointment is on June 17th. I'm so nervous and anxious... I've miscarried before so I so badly want to know everything is OK with our little one.

Would anyone with more experience be able to tell me the procedure for how this is handled, I'm assuming he will confirm that I am pregnant by sending me for blood tests, and to check my HCG levels? Will I then be sent elsewhere for an ultrasound at a later date? I'm so anxious... sorry if these are silly questions.

My previous pregnancy was a surprise and then miscarried soon after, so I have no clue how this works! I just need to know so badly this little miracle is OK, since I'm already so attached!

Where I am you see your family doctor for the first 20 weeks. I called, made an appointment, they confirmed my pregnancy by checking my HCG levels once, and gave me a referral for an ultrasound. The place where you get ultrasounds called and booked me in for when I am 9 weeks. Then I made another doctor appointment for right after my ultrasound to go over the results and he will also do a pap, and give me another referral to have the standard blood work done that checks for diseases and illness. I will also then get a referral to an OB that will start seeing me once I'm 20 weeks along. That's as far as I've gotten so far!

I found out we were expecting yesterday and it's been a whirlwind!  I took my third test today and these were the results.  I'm also anxious about the whole process as this will be our first.  I am calling my doctor tomorrow to get an appointment.  I don't know what to expect either.  Congrats to you!

This is my third pregnancy and hopefully the first that works out! My OB has ultrasound equipment in his office, so in the past, I have made my first appointment and he performed the ultrasound that day tranvaginally. I have also been sent for blood test to confirm hcg levels, due to having prior complications. So, you may receive an ultrasound the first day. You might want to ask your doctor if they have that available in the office! I hope that helps, and best of luck to you!

Following. We found out on Sunday too (4w 2d) and my first appt with the OB is on Wednesday 6/15 and a PCP visit on Thursday.
