How should i get him to use a condom??

Hi guys!! This is my first post and i don't know how to start so.... last summer i met an older man (he is 5 years older) and we have had sex without protection like 1 or 2 times every month or so. We have not seen or talked since march but seeing each other in july. I am on the pill now and would like to ask him to use a condom. I kind of like him in some way.

How should i ask him to use one?
