Stitches

I gave birth to my son on Saturday. I had a vaginal birth. I split so of course I have stitches. They gave me a round, gray wash pan that is for a sit bath. They didn't show me how to use it, so I haven't tried it yet. I am only sore when I urinate. It burns and there is some bleeding. I still wear pads and use the pain relief spray. I have a few questions...

How do you use the sit bath?

Does it help relief some pain or does it just clean the stitches?

Are there any other ways to relieve pain?

Is bleeding a good or bad thing?
