Rapid weight gain??

Question

I am 24 weeks and I have gained a pound a day for the last week and a half. I'm serious when I say I went from 159-168 during that time. Have any of you experienced rapid weight gain during certain times of your pregnancy? I'm eating very healthy - not a ton of carbs or sugar. Thank you!

Just circling back - I think the growth spurt comment was right! I felt a pulling on the sides of my stomach for a few days, more than I was already feeling, and my round ligament pain seemed more intense.

Are there other symptoms other then the weight gain? It could be completely normal, baby had a growth spurt, which increased the size of everything else on top of normal weight gain. But with other symptoms present, it can be an early sign of pre eclampsia. If you have no other symptoms, I'd say it's normal don't worry, but if you also have high bp, swollen face/hands, blurry vision, increased fatigue, severe headaches, and/or Nausea, then you might want to talk to your dr about it. These symptoms would be new, starting around the same time as the weight gain, not something that you have been experiencing as part of your normal pregnancy symptoms.
