The Sperm meets Egg plan

So ladies, according to this plan a woman should have sex every other day starting on CD8 until positive opk, then have sex everyday for 3days after positive opk, then one day off and again once more. So it would be something like CD8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16, for those that ovulate around CD12. My question is, what worked best for you... Having sex everyday or every other day or a combination of those two? What was your magical recipe when you got pregnant? Thanks
