2 years is there a chance of pregnancy?

I've been on birth control for almost 2 years. I just switched the type of pills a little over a week ago. I started it the day my placebo pills in my old birth control ended. I had unprotected sex like a dumby. I was told that because I was on it for so long that it would take me a while to be fertile so does that mean I may not have gotten pregnant because I wasn't fertile? I'm just wondering because if I may be pregnant I need to take the proper steps of taking care of myself along with the baby.
