Birth control and late period

I posted yesterday but still kinda worrying and it might just be me. I'm going n birth control just started using and I'm at my placebos and I haven't gotten my period yet. Today would be day 4 on the placebos and according to my app I'm a day late. Is this normal? Will I get a period in the first month? I use condoms too and they didn't break. Just curious and worrying.
