Call Backs???

When you leave a message for your Doctor's office, how long does it take to get a call back?  I am getting super pist because I had blood work done yesterday and they said they would call with the results yesterday.  It's over 24 hours later and I have left two message and still have not received a call back.  Getting SUPER PIST!!!

I remember when I was waiting for blood results from my first appointment. They kept telling me they would call back but never did. They ended up just telling me the results at my next appointment a week later. I was pissed, too. Don't say you're gonna do something and then not follow through.

I just had blood work done and I asked when I should receive results. She said 24-48hrs. They may not have your results yet.

If they didn't put a STAT order on your labs you probably won't get them for at least 2-3 days. Some tests they can run the same day but other will be pending. And if you had labs done later in the day they won't be run till most likely the next day. I'm phlebotomist and I never tell anyone that we will have the results tomorrow unless I do a STAT.

Usually they will only call you back if something is wrong with bloodwork.
