Can you spot and not get a regular period?

 AF wasn't due until the 12th-14th. I started spotting on the 4th( 3 weeks since my last period which is way early for me), and have been spotting a tiny bit on and off since then. My periods only last 3-4 days. I keep waiting to get a real period, but still just this spotting  stuff. Feeling really tired and peeing a lot but that could also be a period symptom. Can you spot one month and not get an actual period?
