Is it possible?

My last period was the 26th April.. I have very irregular cycles so not sure when I ovulated... Anyway I went to the hospital a few days ago due to really bad back ache and stomach ache. They did my bloods and everything was negative. Is it possible that they tested my bloods too early and I could still be pregnant? x

How early a pregnancy can be detected depends on the pregnancy hormone hcG, which can be detected in the blood about THREE to FOUR days AFTER IMPLANTATION. Urine hCG can be detected about TWO TO THREE DAYS AFTER the blood hCG can first be seen. Detection of hCG depends on timing of implantation,

so hCG can normally be detected in the *blood between *9 and *16 days after ovulation 
(URINE HPT: 12-19 days after ovulation).

So according to this, unless you ovulated within the last 12 days  or so....your bloods would prob show at least a small number but id say maybe just another irregular cycle....mine are super irregular and usually at least 35-40 days long. 40 at the longest but had mid cycle bleeding in my April cycle that was a full flow at cd14( which i went ahead and started a new cycle with that bleeding) but that would make my last 3 cycles-
40 days
14-18 days
36 days
I hope your just on the early side of the numbers and it was just too early.  Wait about 2 days and use a urine test....should be accurate by then. If no period in 5-7 days i recommend you call your doctor back.! Good luck!!!
