Weird or no?

I'm 38 weeks&3days... I'm not dilated or opened down there so I asked about taking primrose oil she said no so I asked about sex and she said yes. That makes no since I can't take the primrose oil capsoles but I can have sex when that STARTS labor? Should I just have sex and get it over with

I'm 38+1 and was checked today and I'm still closed too!! 😩 I'm going to get a membrane sweep on Monday only because my SO works out of town and he only has so much time off to take with the baby so we really don't want him to be overdue. She said that will only work if I'm already dilating though so I guess we will see what happens. He must be comfy 🤔

I'm 38w and no dilation either.  I don't think I'll get into the primrose oil and such. Maybe if I feel up to sex that could be an option. Till then I will just walk and try and let gravity do the work.

My midwife told me not to waste money on that stuff because it really doesn't work, baby will come when baby is ready.
She did say to help prepare your body you can walk, have sex, bounce on your yoga ball and things like that.

Most doctors don't encourage inducing yourself until you're full term or overdue, which is why she probably said no to the primrose oil capsules. Nothing is guaranteed to start labor, not even sex. There have been many stories on here lately about failed inductions at the hospital because baby simply wasn't ready. Just let your body do what it was meant to. :)
