TTC for 8 months?

Hi ladies, I had my Son 8 months ago and we started trying right away (no bashing) I haven't gotten pregnant yet, I thought it was supposed to be easy? I'm on my 8th month and just got off my period a few days ago and we started having sex every other day, planning to all the way up until my next due period. We haven't done it this way yet, any experience?? I'm feeling really frustrated I just wanted both of my kids close in age. I feel like all of a sudden I can't get pregnant and idk why :(
