Question is description (For those who spot/bleed but have sex still)

I'm on the pill & i usually like wearing tampons instead of pads. But i don't think it's healthy to wear a tampon when spotting even though I'm guilty of that. I'm guessing i should probably wear them instead of tampons when spotting? But my question is when you have sex & you're wearing a pad isn't it awkward just taking your underwear off & you're SO seeing the pad in them & then putting the undies & pad back on afterwards. I don't know i feel weird about it....kind of embarrassed tbh
