How many "rough patches"?

Everyone that is married or about to be married, how many "rough patches" have you gone through in your relationship and how long have you been together? Was there ever a time when you (or your SO) almost walked away?

1 rough patch in 8.5 years. We have three kids. It was almost 3 years ago and it lasted about 6 weeks. I had a miscarriage during that time as well. It was a tough time. We are stronger than ever.

Once we've been together 3 years married 3 weeks. I was working a job that was really demanding and we both weren't happy with how little I was home and he gave me a choice him or working. I left for 2 days came back we talked and worked things out I cut back my hours at work and was home more. We were both a lot happier and honestly learned how to handle problems that come up and fix our problems before getting to a rough patch. Our communication since has been the best ever and we've never been happier

September will be our 7 year "together" anniversary. Married for 1 year. We've had 2 rough patches. Both times, I almost left. I realize now they were petty things. Things that everyone goes through. The thing is, in every relationship, you can fall in and out of love. The way to make it work, is to make sure when the other one is falling in loved again, you are. And vise versa. 
Not every battle has to be won and not every argument has to be argued. Learn to pick your battles and let things go. You love them, and that is ultimately what matters most. You can't be 100% happy ALL THE TIME.

I've been with my husband almost 10 years and married for 1.5, about a year before we got engaged we almost broke up. I had supported him for 3 years while he studied and once he graduated he was dragging his feet on finding a job and told him I needed a break and he needed to sort his shit out. He went to his mums for a week and then we worked everything out.

Been together 2.5 years and married for just a few months.. We had a big a** argument lasting for a couple months about a year ago and I swear if we were able to deal with each other through that we can make it through anything.

Together 4 years married 3 years. We haven't had one yet. I might define what we are going through now as one but I'm really trying to put it into perspective. Life isn't always easy and our toddler is a handful. I think I appreciate him more when i think about not having him at all.
