Do i have the right to feel this way?

So my husband is from niger and his family is still there. He wants to invite his mom to come here for when we have our baby. Im fine with that. My husband and i been married for 7 years i never met his mom his dad past the year we got married. I made the comment to him about his mom being in the delivery room about how it would be werid to me since i dont know her (im not saying she cant be in there) he gets all defensive. Do i have the right to feel that way or no.

I have known my husbands mom and step mom for over two years and I am still not comfortable with them being in the room when I deliver. I'm barely comfortable with my mom being in there with me and I've known her almost 20 years lol.

He's going to be defensive because that's his mother. But it's your body and your choice! If you don't want her in the room, then she can't be in the room. You're not wrong about how you feel. Stick to what makes YOU comfortable. Not anyone else.

While you're pushing you need to be as comfortable as possible, having people in the room that you don't feel comfortable with will only make it worse on you because youll feel like you cant respond to the pain of your body without feeling strange or judged.. I don't care who's mad... if I don't want them in there, oh well, it's a very special and intimate moment for you and your husband... if you want her in there, fine. If not that should be fine too. There should be no stress on you now or when your pushing. Period.

I know my boyfriends mom and I dont want here there she is really nice and sweet but i wouldn't feel comfortable so I could only imagine a stranger if you would say...
