Hey. I have been with my husband for 5 years and his family only speaks Spanish two but the hard thing is. His mother side is Puerto Rican and his father side is Panamanian. They speak different Spanish. I started watching Spanish novelas, listening to Spanish music and learning Spanish from you tube and i have downloaded  Spanish translation apps. If yu want to practice together I help you. I am just now becoming where I can hold a conversation with them all. My husband doesn't teach me because it's too much translating for him so I learned on my own and I speak to him in Spanish so he knows I am trying.
