The guy I've been seeing for almost 9 months seems to be pulling away but I can't tell because he isn't a big texter to begin with but lately he hasn't really been talking to me much at all. I'm just not sure if I'm thinking about it to much because I'm nervous he doesn't want to see me anymore and I should wait to ask or if I should just ask sooner than later what is going on? I just don't want to sound crazy but if he doesn't want to talk to me anymore I would like to know now before more feelings develop and I get hurt more.

I think this is just all guys right now. You're like the 3rd person I've read about this exact thing happening recently. Plus my boyfriend has been acting a little off too. I talked to one of my guy friends and he said that he probably just needs some space

In your next conversation just ask what he's been up to. See if he'll admit being busy or having a lot going on. I'm literally going through the same thing rn and it's frustrating. Don't upfront ask him why he's not giving you the attention though. That may come off as needy. Instead seek for someone who will talk and see you often. Trust me no matter how bad of a texter they are they will make an exception for you. Remember if they want you they will do everything they can to woo you. So don't push anything, it should all come easy

I'd talk to him. It's been 9 months, you don't just all of a sudden stop talking to the person that you're dating. If he doesn't care to talk about it, move on/let him go.
