Confused and need a reply ASAP

Hey girls, so is it normal to spot in between mensral cycles? I'm active but I use protection (condom never rips) and I use my birthcontrol as well. I was told spotting can be a sign of pregnancy which scares me so I don't want to jump to conclusions here. Could I be spotting from taking my birthcontrol at 9 or 10 when my normal time is 8:45, or could it be from ovulation?? Please help me and my boyfriend need some relief
