Ttc for 4 months

Me and my husband have been trying to have a baby he already has a 5 year old daughter  and he wants another baby we have been trying for like 4 & a half months and nothing yet I honestly feel like I can't have children is that weird it's just for some strange reason I feel that way is there any thing that can help me conceive my friend suggested going on the pill then missing a few saying that that's how she conceived but my husband would be so upset if he found birth control you guys seem really sweet on here thank you in advance
