Consent
So I saw a post about statutory rape and I wanted to follow up on it and ask a different question, because I had some mixed opinions on it but then when reading and discussing in the comments I agreed with them.
Do you think that minors should be able to consent? Not like a 2 year age difference, but a big enough age difference for it to be considered rape. Do you think that they should be able to consent so that the adult shouldn't be rapist and pedophile?
I don't think that they should be able to consent, I think that they're too young to know what they want and that the adult should be a mature adult and not do something with someone that is that young. Even if those people ended up being in a committed, loving relationship 20 years later, I still think that minors are too young to make decisions like that.
