5 weeks and only seeing the sac?!

So I went to ultrasound and they tech said everything looks good that I'm measuring to my last period but the tech said she couldn't find the baby... She told me the baby is to small to see on an ultrasound... But does that sound right?! Should I hear a heart beat and see the baby by now .. She told me to come back in two weeks and they would know more then ....

At 5 weeks I had an empty sac and went back at 5 weeks 5 days and saw a yolk sac and fetal pole. I'm now 27 weeks!

Usually no heartbeat until 6 weeks. Sounds normal to me!

That does seem early.. I'm 6 weeks and my doctor won't do the first ultra sound until between weeks 7-9. I'm sure everything will be fine at the next one!

Totally normal!  5 weeks is super early for an ultrasound to see a baby and near impossible for a heartbeat.  Try not to worry and hopefully in 2 weeks you'll get to see your baby!
