How do you feel when people say this?

I'm 28 weeks and finally starting to pop. This is my first, due in sept. Last night I had two separate people ask me when I was due and when I told them, they were like "What?! You're HUGE!" And ask me if big babies are common in my family. It's probably just me being sensitive and hormonal but I hate when people say how giant/huge you are already. I always told pregnant women that they look great, I never mentioned how big they looked. Maybe I'm just silly.. How does everyone else feel?

It always baffled me the ignorance of people when they make that comment. First of all, just because you look huge during pregnancy, doesn't mean you're going to have a big baby. It simply means that your pelvis is not as deep as someone else's so your baby sticks out further, where is somebody with a deep pelvis the baby might sit inside the pelvis and not show as much. People are ridiculous. That comment always did piss me off, but I just chalk it up to pure ignorance.

I had the opposite problem and it made me just as upset! Constantly people would tell me my belly didn't look big enough to be as far along as I was, and when they thought maybe that was a compliment, all it did was cause me unnecessary worry about my baby's size. Needless to say I went on to deliver an 8.2 lb baby so women just carry all different ways. Commenting on a woman's size is just never the right thing to do.

I had someone say I was huge after I told them my edd, and I hadn't even had a belly yet 😂. I think she thought every preggo person wants to look big n pregnant, so I just let it roll off my shoulders.  Now I just tell people how many months I am, cause honestly no one but me and hubby need to know the due date lol. I'm a week away from being 6 months and just now popped out and not able to wear normal pants.

I have the opposite, people tell me I'm so small to be 7 months and I just say I guess that's a good thing because I have much to do and a bigger belly might get in my way lol but that's to friends and acquaintances, others don't seem to be able to tell I'm pregnant and if they ask they only say congrats.

I say thanks! Because I know that I've grown a healthy baby. Not everything people say is to offend you, therefore it shouldn't be considered offensive. Be proud. I loved how huge I was!

When I had my daughter, all I ever heard was that I didnt even look pregnant. I know people generally mean well, but even that bothered me. Every woman is different and every woman carries differently. As self conscious as what a lot of women can become during pregnancy, unless it's a compliment I don't think people should say too much lol Congratulations on your pregnancy!

People grow at different rates. I knew one lady that was 8 months pregnant. She was natural thin like me not pregnant and at 8 months she looked like she was just starting to show. My SO's ex got big really fast with her kids and so did her sister. You cant control it. I think its rude to comment on how big or small anyone is when pregnant because its such a sensitive subject in general.

It blows my mind that people think it ok to critique a pregnant woman's body (or any woman). I have always had body issues and have struggled with self-esteem and depression since my teens. My mom was always my biggest critic and picked at my body, hair, clothes, choices in general, just everything. I have managed my depression very well for the past 2 years, and it was a concern of my OB's and is keeping an eye on it. I'm 33 weeks now and my mom just has a way of tearing me down. She started by discussing in a group setting whether or not I've gotten any stretch marks and how SHE didn't get any from her 3 kids. I'm ok with the stretch marks I have, but she did it in such a way that made me feel very ashamed. Then she tells me how wide I have gotten. Other family members, who I don't see regularly, have told me that she has discussed "how pregnancy looks on me".
