What would you do if you found out your nanny uses medical marijuana? You cant be certain if she is using it on shift or not.

She is the best and most natural with the kids. She never seems frustrated and goes with the flow. They are constantly engaged with new ideas, time to explore, songs and stories. There is a good balance of indoor and outdoor play but focusing more on outdoors (2x a day). The kids always listen to her. She also keeps the house tidy when the kids are sleeping. The position is only part time only a few times a month.

Would you feel differently if she took Xanax or Ativan or an SSRI. As long as she wasn't high around my kids and was doing it 100% legally I'd have no issues..

Ask her if she used while working, and that it's not permitted around my child. But if she says no she would never, then keep her! Especially if she's a good nanny.

There is no way of knowing if she is smoking it or using it in pill form, liquid drops or in a honey form/ different edibles or a combo.

She sounds great at her job. I personally do not have a problem with her doing it even on shift based on her performance.

Sounds like she's amazing at her job and there are so many prescriptions people could be on, I feel like marijuana is pretty minor if she's using it according to her doctors orders.

Sounds like you have a great nanny that loves your kids and takes great care of them. Would you think any differently if she took a prescription pain medicine or anxiety medicine? Probably not, so you shouldn't look at her differently with having prescription marijuana.

Personally I'd address it directly with her. I'd let her know I don't care at all what she does in her personal life, but that I don't want drugs in my home or around my child.

Sounds like you already made up your mind... she seems like a great nanny.. just because she uses a LEGAL drug in her case doesn't mean she's a horrible person. I mean it's like a nanny taking a Xanax before going to work so she doesn't freak out on the kids. but more natural.
