Insane up and down last cycle, please HELP!

I was doing ok TTC for the last cycles when the last one went berserk. Skipped one AF, then, after 52 days I bleed a couple of drops for three days then nothing but o counted that as period because of the consistency of the blood that looked certainly like AF. Then the blood stopped and now, a week later I'm again dropping, but this time is clear pinkish blood, nothing like AF.  I'm having dull ache right on my pubic area, certainly NOT cramp like. I'm 42, TTC #1 for four years. No BFP or miscarriage (that I know) and also I'm traveling, so it's impossible to run to see my Ob/Gyn.
