Needy boyfriend?

Hi guys I have a question I really don't know what to do. My boyfriend and I started dating about a month ago. He lives very close to me it takes about one minute to drive to his house. Since we've started dating we've been spending a ton of time together I've seen him once a day EVERY DAY sometimes even twice a day....And if I can't make it he will catch an attitude. I'm just starting to feel drained and tired. Don't get me wrong I love being around him but it's just a lot. How can I tell him we need a little space without coming off as mean?
