Have any of you used nair?

Question

Well I usually shave down there but I get little  red aftershave bumps and when I went to the pool the were very noticeable. I was told that nair products don't leave those bumps and you just wipe away the hair. I have never used it before but I wanted to go swimming again tomorrow and didn't want to have the aftershave bumps, so I was wondering if nair really works or if any of you have used it and have comments about it.

the stuff they use in nair is the stuff they use in chemical relaxers and perms. with chemical relaxers you have to have a protectant so you don't get severe chemical burns. nair is for your legs and arms only, not your bikini area or armpits (the skin there isn't as tough), if you use it on your bikini area you will have a lot of pain for a while

I've used it for the bikini area (and above) but it usually doesn't get all the hair and I end up shaving anyways

I'm allergic to it so I would strongly recommend using a small patch of skin to test it out first and then make sure not to go back over that area if you continue to use it

Don't use it for your pubic hair! It's not meant for that.

It has burned my skin as well but that's probably because it slipped from where it should be removing hair to bare skin. If you get burns you can use a little bit of Emu oil.

I don't know how anyone else's experience with it was, but it burned my skin. Quite literally.
