Is it bad to plan your own baby shower?

I'm absolutely throwing my own shower! I didn't want to burden anyone plus so many friends asked so I thought it best I have them help me versus be in charge of it all. Especially since it's a bigger shower. Also just do you!! Your friends and family will be excited there's a shower at all :)

With my last pregnancy a friend offered to throw it but I knew she couldn't afford to host it fully. I did most of the planning (I own a shop where we could have it) and gave her the guest list. My parents helped pay for food that I ordered, my friend sent the invites from her own email so it was coming from her and my parents asking people to attend to celebrate me and baby, and she gathered rsvps, followed up etc. coordinated decorations, took down notes on who brought what as I opened gifts so that sending thank yous was easy. It is helpful to have someone 'throw' it for you even if you do a lot of the actual planning and coordinating.

I planned my first baby shower and plan on doing my second. My best friend/sons godmother helped with games and cake but she didn't know everyone I wanted to invite including friends and family of both my husband and I. So I arranged the food and had some help with decorations .
