Water breaking

If my water broke would my son still be pretty active? I sat down while putting air in my tires and then all of the sudden my pants were soaked. I don't know if my water broke or if I just sat in something. I haven't felt any contractions and my son has been moving a little bit. First time mom so I have no clue what it's like to have my water break and I really don't want to drive to L&D in case I just sat in something or peed myself. I'm only 35 weeks
