Can't fall asleep with my bf

So last night my boyfriend and I spent the night together, literally. We've been dating for about a month and a half and I was so excited for him to sleep over for the first time. I was really tired when we went to bed and I just couldn't fall asleep at all even though I was so comfortable. He usually doesn't sleep very well but he said he slept better than usual. Was I just too excited so my body wouldn't let me sleep or something? Has this happened to anyone else?
