He wants to take a break ?

Ive been with my boyfriend for two years and we do grt into fights. When we do we always work it out. Well he says since i been pregnant ive been mean to him and we got into a fight and i took things to far. Going below the belt...saying things i dont mean... ive expressed my feelings and how i want to change but he takes for ever to reply and wont give me a straight answer. 
what should i do? how long should a break be ? Will he come back ?

"Breaks" (99% of them) are what cowardly guys on the verge of leaving do when they can't bring themselves to say what they actually mean.

Which is- "I'm done".

The weakest guys come back and restart the whole relationship cycle- wasting everyone's time all over again.

That's because they want to leave, but they can't face the discomfort of transitioning to singlehood.  No backbone.

But most of the time, these guys don't come back at all.  Usually, it's over.

It's very, very likely to be over.

If it weren't for your pregnancy, I'd say the chances of him coming back were 1 in 50? 1 in 100?

With the pregnancy..... Who knows.  Maybe the element of guilt will tip the scales for him.  But that would be such a huge disservice to you.

You deserve so much better.

I think you should consider this a break up and treat him accordingly.  For your own sense of dignity.  So that you don't get your hopes up.  And so that, in the unlikely event that he does come back, you aren't subconsciously waiting for him with open arms.

He better EARN his way back, after this shit show!

Sounds like he needs some alone time. Give it to him freely. If it's meant to be he'll come back. If you push too hard for him to do what you want, he may decide to not come back. He has needs too and you have to respect them and help him too.

Taking a break is an extremely middle school high school approach to figuring out a problem in a relationship. What will that accomplish? Literally nothing. Will he need a break when the baby is born? Because it doesn't work that way. It sounds like you two need a serious talk. You also can't continue to be, sorry in advance, a bitch to him for small things and expect to use pregnancy as an excuse every time if you really need an attitude adjustment. You two are bringing another life into the world that will depend on you, I'm not saying everything will be perfect but you have to know when to calm down and discuss things rationally. Maybe try to find an outside source that's causing stress. Mine was money and needing a place of our own

I don't really believe in breaks, but that's just me. It's either he wants to be with you or he doesn't. He has to understand too our hormones are out of whack. But taking a break is not an option to me! It's ok to give him space tho like to breath and you guys just not talk for a few hours so you guys both can think. But then get together & see what needs to change & what needs to be done. To me when a guy wants to take a break its not a good thing, they hook up with other girls and end up leaving you, or hook up with girls then want to come back, or not hook up with anyone but they either leave you or come back. Idk, every guy is different, every relationship is different but that's kinda what I'm thinking while writing this.
