36 weeks head very low

Soo my doctor has not done an internal exam yet I am 36 weeks. He said he will do it next week so I do no know if I am dialated yet however today he said the babies head was so low that he couldn't even get an accurate reading or picture on it and that he would be surprised if I made it to 40 weeks aince it seems the baby is ready ... Anyone else have this experience and if so when did u have baby ? Just curious now I am anxious !!!
