Would you do it?

Question

If you came from a good loving family  (No abuse, you lived at home while going to college, supported and got you in therapy for depression and anxiety etc.) Would you move across the country or state without telling them and cut off all contact with them?

I understand if someone came from an abusive and unsupportive family the reasons to do that. I'm asking if you DID NOT come from an abusive and unsupportive family, would you do it?

For what reason? A guy? Because if a man wants you to do this, it screams abuse.

I wouldn't do that even with my abusive family. They would track me down to see my daughter.

You shouldn't do that to your family for no reason at all. If they've been disrespectful, or don't respect your choices, etc. I could understand it (but even then you should at least let them know where you are), but for no reason at all…why would you want to do that?
