How old is too old?

For lip kissing your child??

My son is 7 and still wants to lip kiss. (not open mouthed)

What is your opinion?

My sister recently dated a guy who was way over 30 and was still kissing his mom on the lips... that's a bit too old. I wouldn't kiss my mom in the lips now.

You birthed your children there should be no stigma on any kind of affection at any age people who think it's wrong are sexualizing the act which is their own issue that they should deal with personaly each person should do whatever they are comfortable with and whatever works for them

I wasn't going to give my kids kisses on the lips. I thought it was weird. My parents didn't do it and I wasn't going to. Well, my daughter really likes giving kisses. To people to dogs to cats to horses. She doesn't discriminate lol everyone gets kisses from her.

I think it all depends on what both mother and child are comfortable with, and for how long. I still kiss my daughter on the lips sometimes, and she's about to be 10. I plan on doing the same with my son who I'm pregnant with now. It's a sign of affection and I don't see anything wrong with it as long as it's not forced.

There's nothing sexual about a peck on the lips. It's your family. I still give my family members little peck lip kisses. Age doesn't matter.

I think this typically stops around preteen age. I've never seen an adult kiss their parents on the lips.

My daughter is 6 and still wants too... I generally don't initiate it... If I kiss her it's usually on the forehead or cheek

I think your kid will.let you know. I stopped kissing my dad before the age of 10 but would still kiss my mom but for both it was just goodbye kisses cuz I would see my dad every second weekend. Your kid will no when. :)

Well yea to each there own. We have always mouth kissed our girls not open mouth but now my oldest who is 4 recently asked about that bcs she kisses everyone in the mouth but somehow thinks it's not ok to kiss male adults. She kissed her uncle the other day and he told her in the cheek not mouth. So I'm confused also on to what to tell her bcs she oviously noticed its incomfortable to kiss her uncles in the mouth. But my girls are so innocent the other day my husband brother came over and my husband told our 3 yr daughter to give him a kiss and she kissed him right in the mouth she had and open mouth and she kept trying to kiss him I know she didn't mean anything of it but he kind of pushed away. We're Hispanic so that might be why some ppl get thrown off by it. Not a lot of our family kiss that way with there kids but to us it's perfectly fine. So not sure if I should tell my girls that's it's ok to only kiss mami & daddy and grandparents and aunts but not uncles?! Then they will wonder why not them and there to small to understand that it makes them uncomfortable. Any ideas?
