Mother in law & baby shower RANT

My SO and I are throwing our own baby shower next weekend (I'll be 33 weeks😁) and have had it all planned out for a few months now and my mil keeps wanting to turn a simple baby shower into a huge almost wedding or quinceañera/sweet 16 type thing in our opinions ! She's making the biggest deal about decorating chairs super fancy while my SO and I have made it clean we don't want to spend more time or money on decorations for chairs when that time, effort, and money could be used on other decor, food, and game prizes !😒 She told us she wouldn't have time to help with decorations anyway ! Plus she doesn't currently have a job either and her husband makes very little money so I know we'd end up paying for it which is not something we want or are ok with . So today she kept insisting and I told her I could give a care less about the chairs and that if she was going to going to pay for whatever material she wants to use and is going to decorate them all herself fine she can go ahead and decorate and I never got a text back ... I'm just tired at this point I ask her to do one thing and she does another so now that I'm taking on most of the decorating and planning myself she wants to try to make it seem like she's throwing the shower for us 😤 I'm trying very hard to be nice to this woman for my hubby and our children but she's really pushing it since she did the same thing with our first born until people started stating that they knew we planned our shower ourselves . I get it she's cooking and doing little memorable take me home things ... But I'm decorating, cooking, and have everything planned she just was asked out of courtesy if you will if she wanted to be involved . To this day she's trying to keep changing everything I've planned and enough is enough tomorrow she's getting a piece of my mind while I still have a little bit of patience left ...
