Stacking the odds?

Ok, so I've heard that if you have sex closer to your ovulation date, your more likely to have a boy, and a few days away is more likely to have a girl. (Pretty sure it worked for me last time?) So I'm wondering if there might be a way to stack the odds for twins? Besides fertility drugs. Anyone heard any old wives tales? We're going to start trying this cycle and I was just wondering if there was something I could be trying. ;)
