My bf hit me, was he right to do so?

So I'm like addicted to popping pimples and I pop my boyfriends all the time but he absolutely hates it. Anyway I kept trying to pop them and he kept telling me no so I kept trying to and he was getting so mad at me because I was persisting in trying to pop them. Then he got so angry because I wouldn't stop and hit me. Then I stopped.

I know I was annoying him and he asked me to stop about 12 times, but who is in the wrong here?
