Buying a house while pregnant??

Question

Anyone ever bought a home while pregnant? This is our first home and we have a two year old and expecting in February. I'm also in school full time. Overwhelmed isn't even a word to describe it! Any advice?

I did it. It was awful. We closed on the house a few weeks before I was due and moved in two weeks after the baby was born. I had a lot of family help pack and move everything from our old house to the new one. It was stressful and miserable and I always say people should never do it. Lol. But in the end, it's worth it. Especially if you don't already own a home. I was mostly pissed because my husband was so adamant about buying a bigger house despite the fact that our old house had enough rooms for all of our kids anyway. We didn't NEED to move. But I do like my bigger house :)

We closed on our first home 5 months ago.  It was a complete nightmare. But we also had.things that stopped us from getting the "good" rates. our fico scores were in the 650's.while u can STILL get a mortgage and financing with those scores, we also had really bad.. pasts.. my ex ruined me financially back in 2006 and by the time I realized I was 33k in debt and already in collections. My SO now had a similar situation. me being a scorpio..I blew up and refused to pat it off.ANYWAY!  After 9 years, my scores went back up but the debt was still there and I got denied for good rates on a mortgage. So we both paid a credit guy to fix it. He did.within 6 months our scores were in te 800's and no debt whatsoever.
THEN THE CHAOS STARTED! We did get aproved for excellent rates on a 350k home with 50k down,  but it was chaotic! And then i found out i was pregnant. Pregnancy and looking for a place to BUY and call home for the next 30 plus years WILL take a toll on the relationship for sure.We are lucky because we agreed on location. . But finding -our- home took MONTHS!Every single day on the MLX (aside from my full time business, I manged to get a realtor license.it helped a lot not having to get one and just go in with a SUPRA or lock box) and nights on end spent driving around looking for the perfect home.We did find it. but we knew we were just getting started.The waiting,  the closing,  the offer and counter offers.blah blah.the deal almost fell through twice.But in the end we got it.  By that point we just gave in. .called professional movers that PACKED, MOVED AND UNPACKED EVERYTHING FROM THE RENTAL TO THE NEW PLACE .cost us an arm and a leg but well worth it
The whole experience was beyond nerve wrecking.. my SO and I almost gave up a few times ..but in the end it was well worth it. 
Guess we were lucky in a  few areas from what I'm hearing around. . The excellent credit we ended up with, the 50k down payment, the free access to the mls..it all helped.

Not buying a house but doing renovations! Those alone are incredibly stressful. I can't even imagine moving!

The emotions though!! I feel bad for all the realtors and my lenders, lol. I cry and get so overly upset at them all the time. But I'm very thankful that they are so patient with my craziness

By the time we get a home and start moving I'm going to be like 7-8 months pregnant! 😩😩 we just got approved so looking now, but the market is moving so fast.

Yes, we bought our townhouse when I was just 2 months pregnant with my first, and our current house when I was also 2 months with my 3rd. It's doable, it just sucks moving first trimester because you're exhausted and end of pregnancy because you're exhausted again  lol. We typically are do it yourself type of people, but this time we hired painters and movers  because I was basically useless at the time we moved.

Yep I moved in when I was 8 weeks pregnant and in the middle of the worst morning sickness ever. My husband really stepped it up and had to do a lot of the packing (which really sucked when I was unpacking lol)
A whole bunch of my husbands friends came to help with the packing one night and I almost cried when they were emptying boxes from a storage cube thing into big boxes because I would have just left the things in the boxes and not had to do any unpacking of those things when we got to the new house, just put them straight back into the shelving. Haha I can laugh about it now, I bit my lips then though because I could only appreciate that a bunch of guys came to help us pack up our stuff! 
Took me ages to unpack with my morning sickness and my toddler and my family and husbands family living overseas and in another state, but I finally got there! And I AM NEVER MOVING AGAIN...haha I hope!

I just bought my house last month, I am currently 39 weeks. It is a lot of work. Try to find the most helpful group of professionals. I really don't think I could have made it without my realtor and the lending company I went through. Just remember to look at the new house as something you can make into your own. Make sure it fits you and your growing family as well as your monthly budget so you don't have too much to worry about.
