I've thought a lot about this (paraphrased) quote since I first heard it...

When you place male lobsters into a boiling pot of water you have to seal them in with a lid because they will start forming a ladder with their bodies and slowly let each other crawl out. When you boil female lobsters, there's no lid required. Instead of helping each other escape they hold each other down. If they're not going to make it out then they don't want anyone to make it out.
