HELP!?! FTM

Question

Usually my blood pressure is textbook even being pregnant. Im 39 weeks and 4 days and at my last appointment on Friday June 17, 2016 my BP was high it was 140/84. Doctor said he was going to do a protein test on my urine. Today I decided to take my BP and it was high again. This morning it was 146/78 then roughly 3 hours later I took it again and it was 132/84. I waited another 3 hours and took it again and it was 135/76. I am unsure if I need to call my doctor or not. Please help! FTM!

It happened to me at 39 weeks as well. My BP was a little elevated but 24 hr urine test came back normal.

The same thing happened to me at 38 weeks (similar numbers). They put me on modified bed rest and did a 24 hour urine test. When I went back to dr two days later, my Bp had gone down some and urine came back without protein--so no preeclampsia. It's still a little high occasionally but two weeks later, I'm still in bed rest and they aren't worried as long as I take it easy.

Lay on your left side and try to relax--it'll probably go down! Laying on your left side does wonders for you bp. I would call tomorrow and see what they say.

I had higher blood pressure towards end of pregnancy too. They were concerned when it got to 144 because they said they didn't want it to hit 160. I did a few non stress tests and they all turned out okay.

If you're anxious while you're taking your blood pressure it could be making it slightly higher as well... just try to relax, but my dr said anything under 140 they don't consider "high"

I had a few visits in my second trimester where my BP was hypertensive. My doctor was most concerned with the bottom number and keeping it under 90, ideally under 80. I was between 130-140 on the top number and she said that didn't concern her. She did have me do the 24 hr urine test and passed.
